1. Who You Are Buying From
LiveAutoParts is a trade name of Priona Global INC, 3000 Marcus Avenue, Ste 1E11, New Hyde Park, NY 11042, USA. We are the seller and merchant of record for your order. We accept orders from customers in the United States and Canada.
We source used and aftermarket parts from a vetted network of independent recyclers, salvage yards and suppliers. We:
- sell you the part — your contract of sale is with LiveAutoParts, not the supplier;
- collect and process your payment through PCI-compliant payment processors;
- review and decide every return and refund request under this policy;
- issue approved refunds to your original payment method.
Suppliers act as our fulfilment partners. You do not need to chase them — LiveAutoParts is your single point of contact for cancellations, returns, warranty and refunds.
2. Scope of This Policy
This policy governs returns, refunds, cancellations, shipping damage claims and payment disputes. It applies when you submit a parts request, accept a quotation, or purchase a part from us.
This policy replaces our previously separate Return Policy and Customer Refund Policy, which covered the same ground in different words. Where this policy and the terms printed on your quotation differ, your quotation controls. Where this policy and our Terms of Use differ on returns or refunds, this policy controls.
Quotations are valid for 14 calendar days from issue unless a different expiry is printed on the quotation.
3. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. Where any part of this policy conflicts with such a right, that right applies and the rest of this policy continues in force.
4. When a Return May Be Accepted
Returns must be requested within 7 calendar days of confirmed carrier delivery. Situations where a return will normally be considered:
- Wrong part shipped because of our error or our supplier's error — mismatched part number or wrong variation.
- Damage in transit — subject to the shipping damage steps in Section 10.
- The part materially differs from the written quotation, description or photographs — for example major undisclosed damage or the wrong configuration.
Every return must be authorised by us in writing before anything is sent back. See Section 6.
5. When a Return Is Not Available
Returns and refunds are normally not available in these situations:
- Wrong part ordered by you, or incorrect or incomplete VIN or vehicle details supplied to us.
- Fitment problems caused by trim, engine or production variations, or by aftermarket modifications to your vehicle.
- Electrical or electronic parts once installed, tested or connected. These are final sale. Please confirm fitment before connecting anything.
- Parts returned without a written RMA. Unauthorised returns may be refused, discarded, or returned at your expense.
- Change of mind — buyer remorse, or the part being "no longer needed".
- Normal cosmetic wear consistent with a used, salvage or reconditioned part: scratches, surface rust, patina, discolouration.
6. Used, Salvage & Reconditioned Parts — What to Expect
Unless your quotation explicitly describes a part as "new" or "OEM new", assume it is used, salvaged, refurbished or reconditioned. That means:
- normal wear, minor scratches, discolouration and age-related marks are expected;
- mileage figures are estimates and are not guaranteed;
- photographs may be representative — the item you receive can differ slightly in cosmetic appearance.
Cosmetic condition alone does not qualify a part for return or refund. Function does.
7. Return Authorization (RMA) — How to Start a Return
Do not ship anything back before you have an RMA. Unauthorised returns may be refused, discarded, or returned at your expense.
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery at support@liveautoparts.com.
- Tell us what is wrong — wrong part, damage, or defect — and send photographs, your VIN and any supporting documents.
- Wait for written RMA approval. It will give you the return address, packing instructions and a deadline.
- Pack the part securely, in its original packaging where possible, and ship using a trackable method.
- Write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the package. Packages without a visible RMA number may be refused and the refund denied.
- Wait for inspection. Every returned part is inspected before a refund or credit is approved.
8. Condition Requirements for Returned Parts
To qualify for a refund or credit, a returned part must be:
- in the same condition as received — not installed, attempted to be installed, modified, altered or damaged after delivery;
- complete, with all original components, fasteners and packaging materials;
- for electrical and electronic items, unopened and unused, with any static-sensitive packaging intact.
Parts showing installation marks, new scratches or missing hardware may be refused, or refunded at a reduced value reflecting the loss.
9. Who Pays Return Shipping
- Our error — wrong part or defect: we cover return shipping, or send you a prepaid label.
- Your error or change of mind: you pay return shipping, handling and insurance.
- Freight and oversized items: crating, freight pickup and special handling charges are non-refundable and are your responsibility, except where the return is due to our verified error.
Original outbound shipping charges are generally non-refundable, unless the return is due to our verified error.
10. Shipping Damage Claims
Inspect every shipment immediately on delivery. To protect your claim:
- Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before you sign.
- Photograph the packaging and the part before unpacking.
- Report the damage to us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Keep all original packaging in case the carrier requests an inspection.
Missing these steps can void a shipping-damage claim, because the carrier will refuse it. We manage carrier claims on your behalf once you have given us the evidence above.
11. Refund Amounts, Deductions & Timing
An approved refund may be less than what you paid. The following may be deducted:
- Restocking fee — 15% on standard parts, or 25% on special and heavy orders (engines, transmissions, sheet metal, body panels). No restocking fee is charged when the order was defective, incorrect, or our error — those are refunded in full.
- Inspection, testing or diagnostic fees.
- Return shipping, and original outbound shipping where applicable.
- Repair cost or loss of value caused by damage after delivery.
Timing. Inspection of a returned part takes 3–10 business days. Once approved, we issue the refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post it, which is outside our control.
12. Warranty on the Part Itself
Parts carry a 30-day limited warranty from the date of delivery; select parts may carry up to 90 days where your quotation states it. Engines, transmissions and drivetrain assemblies may carry mileage-based limited terms noted on your quotation.
The warranty covers the part, not the repair. It does not cover labour, installation, diagnostics, towing, rental vehicles, or any other indirect or consequential cost. A warranty claim and a return are different things on different clocks: a return is for an uninstalled part inside the 7-day window; a warranty claim is for a part that proves defective after it is fitted. Full warranty terms are in Terms of Use, Section 9.
13. Order Cancellations
Cancellations are free within 2 hours of payment confirmation. After 2 hours and before shipment, a restocking fee applies — 15% on standard parts, 25% on special and heavy orders. Orders cannot be cancelled once shipped. If we cannot fulfil your order, you receive a full refund with no fee.
- Parts already pulled, prepared or specially ordered are typically non-cancellable.
- Freight bookings, oversized shipments and special orders may be non-refundable.
14. What Refunds Do Not Cover
Refunds and returns cover the part purchase price only, less any deductions above. We do not cover:
- labour, installation or removal costs;
- towing, rentals, diagnostics or shop fees;
- lost time, lost income, downtime, or any other indirect or consequential loss.
Please confirm fitment before booking a workshop. A part that turns out to be wrong does not make us responsible for a booked repair slot.
15. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
As the merchant of record, we resolve order problems directly, and we would rather fix your problem than argue with your bank. Please contact us first at support@liveautoparts.com and give us at least 5 business days to review and resolve the issue under this policy. Most disputes are resolved faster than a chargeback would be.
Nothing in this policy limits or waives any right you have to dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer. Those rights come from your card issuer and from law, and we do not ask you to give them up. We simply ask for the chance to put it right first.
We keep a complete evidence record for every order — your quotation, your acceptance, fitment details, delivery confirmation and all correspondence — and we will present it to the card network where we believe a dispute is unfounded.
16. Limits on Our Responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except for the refund and warranty remedies in this policy and our Terms of Use, and subject always to Section 3, LiveAutoParts is not responsible for:
- labour, installation, towing, diagnostics, rentals or other indirect or consequential costs;
- carrier-caused delays, lost packages or freight damage outside our reasonable control — though we will pursue such claims with the carrier on your behalf;
- fitment problems arising from vehicle information you supplied that was incorrect or incomplete;
- delays by your bank or card issuer in posting a refund we have already issued.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you accepted your quotation, together with the terms printed on that quotation. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
