Used auto parts, sourced & sold the honest way
LiveAutoParts helps customers request quotes for used auto parts in the USA & Canada. We focus on giving you the vehicle and part details needed to review fitment, condition, warranty, shipping, and final pricing before you decide to buy.
Looking for a specific part?
Tell us your vehicle and the part you need. A VIN is helpful for a more precise fitment review.
What LiveAutoParts actually is
We are a used-parts sourcing service, not a salvage yard. We do not keep a warehouse, and we do not run a live stock feed. When you send a request, our team works it against a vetted network of recyclers, salvage yards and suppliers across the United States and Canada to find the specific part that fits your vehicle, then comes back to you with a written quote.
The part of that arrangement most worth understanding is who you are dealing with. LiveAutoParts (Priona Global INC) is the seller and merchant of record. Your contract of sale is with us, and we arrange fulfilment through our supplier network. You are not buying from a yard you have never heard of, and you do not have to chase one if something goes wrong — we are your single point of contact for cancellations, returns, warranty and refunds.
Why we quote instead of publishing prices
It is a fair question, and the honest answer is that a published price for a used part is usually a guess. The same part number can differ by engine code, trim, production date, transmission type and market. Condition varies from one donor vehicle to the next. Freight on an engine to a rural address is not the freight on an alternator to a city. A price list would have to be wrong to exist.
So we quote per vehicle. You get a figure tied to a specific part for a specific VIN, with the shipping and terms attached, and it is valid for 14 calendar days from issue unless the quotation prints a different expiry. If we cannot source your part at a price we think is fair, we will tell you that instead of quoting something we cannot deliver.
How a request works, step by step
- You send the details. Vehicle and part, ideally with a VIN. It takes about half a minute and costs nothing.
- We source it. A parts specialist works your request against the supplier network and checks what is genuinely available for your configuration — not what is close enough.
- You get a written quote. It sets out the part, the fitment basis, the condition, the warranty and return terms, the shipping, and the final total. Nothing is charged at this stage.
- You decide. If you approve, you sign the quote and we send a secure payment link. If you do not, nothing happens and you owe nothing.
- We ship and you track it. You get tracking, and our order tracker shows the current status.
Nothing on this website charges a card. The cart builds a quote request, not an order.
What we ask you for, and why it matters
- Your VIN. The single most useful thing you can give us. A VIN identifies the engine, trim and build date, which is why it gets a sharper answer than “a 2015 sedan”.
- The number on the old part. Casting, stamping or label numbers settle fitment questions that a model name cannot. Our VIN decoding guide covers where to look.
- Photographs. Especially of connectors, mounting points and any label. A photograph of the connector settles a question that a part number sometimes cannot.
- The symptom, not just the part. Sometimes the part you have been quoted elsewhere is not the part that failed. We would rather tell you that before you spend money.
What a quote tells you before you pay
- Which exact part is being supplied, and the basis on which it was matched to your vehicle.
- Its condition, and what is and is not included with it.
- The warranty that applies to that specific part.
- Shipping, taxes and any core charge, so the total is the total.
- The return and restocking terms, which you acknowledge and sign at the point of acceptance rather than discovering afterwards.
After you buy
Payment is by card or PayPal through a PCI-compliant processor; full card numbers are never stored on our servers. Cancellation is free within two hours of payment confirmation. After that we may already have committed the part with a supplier, so cancellation terms depend on where the order has reached — the Returns & Refunds Policy sets that out in full.
If something goes wrong
Parts carry a 30-day limited warranty from delivery, and up to 90 days on select parts where your quotation says so. It covers the part itself — not labour, installation, diagnostics, towing or any other repair cost. We refund the part price only.
You have 7 calendar days from delivery to request a return, and you need a written RMA from us before sending anything back. If the fault is ours — wrong part, defective part, shipping damage — we cover return shipping and refund in full with no restocking fee. If you ordered the wrong part or changed your mind, a restocking fee and return shipping apply. The full terms are in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
What we don’t do
We think an about page is more useful when it says where the limits are.
- We do not publish live stock or a price list. Anyone showing you real-time used-part inventory for every vehicle is showing you a catalogue, not stock.
- We do not promise every part exists. Some are genuinely hard to source. We would rather say so than take an order we cannot fill.
- We do not cover labour. If a part fails, the warranty covers the part. Please factor that in before booking installation.
- We do not work around vehicle security. Key, immobiliser and security-module programming goes through the dealer or a locksmith on the NASTF Vehicle Security Professional registry, and requires proof of ownership.
- We follow emissions law. Catalytic converters and other emissions components are regulated, and we will tell you what that means for your repair rather than just taking the order.
