Supplier Refund Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
1. Purpose & Scope
This Supplier Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs all refund, return, cancellation, and dispute obligations of suppliers (“Supplier”, “You”) operating on or through LiveAutoParts.
By accepting leads, responding to customer inquiries, or completing sales sourced from LiveAutoParts, you agree to comply fully with this Policy.
2. Supplier Status & Platform Role
LiveAutoParts (a trade name of Priona Global INC) is the seller and merchant of record to the end customer. LiveAutoParts:
- Sells the parts to the customer and issues the customer’s quotation
- Collects and processes the customer’s payment
- Handles customer-facing cancellations, returns, warranty, and refunds
Suppliers are independent fulfilment partners who supply parts to fulfil LiveAutoParts orders. As between LiveAutoParts and the Supplier, the Supplier bears full responsibility for the parts it supplies — including fulfilment quality, returns, warranty support, and the cost of refunds and chargebacks arising from the Supplier’s fulfilment.
3. Supplier Refund Responsibility
LiveAutoParts handles the customer-facing refund as merchant of record. As between LiveAutoParts and the Supplier, the Supplier bears the financial responsibility for refunds, returns, and chargebacks that arise from the Supplier’s fulfilment.
Accordingly, the Supplier agrees that LiveAutoParts may:
- Approve and issue a customer refund under the customer refund and return policies
- Recover the corresponding refund amount, return costs, and any chargeback and fees from the Supplier
- Set off such amounts against payments otherwise due to the Supplier
4. Mandatory Disclosure Obligations
Prior to accepting payment, suppliers must clearly disclose to the buyer:
- Refund eligibility terms
- Return windows and deadlines
- Restocking or inspection fees
- Shipping and freight responsibilities
- Warranty limitations (if any)
Failure to disclose refund terms may result in supplier liability for disputes, chargebacks, or platform enforcement actions.
5. Refund-Eligible Scenarios
Suppliers should consider refunds only in cases such as:
- Incorrect part shipped due to supplier error
- Part materially different from written quote
- Part damaged prior to shipment
- Verified shipping carrier damage (with documentation)
Refund approval remains at the supplier’s discretion, subject to applicable law.
6. Non-Refundable Scenarios
Suppliers are not obligated to issue refunds for:
- Incorrect vehicle information provided by buyer
- VIN mismatches not caused by supplier
- Buyer ordering errors
- Electrical or electronic parts once installed
- Parts damaged due to improper installation
- Normal cosmetic wear on used or salvage parts
- Buyer change of mind
7. Used, Salvage & Reconditioned Parts
Suppliers acknowledge that most parts sold via LiveAutoParts are used, salvaged, or reconditioned.
- Cosmetic imperfections are expected
- Mileage may be estimated
- Parts may show signs of prior use
Cosmetic condition alone shall not justify refunds.
8. Return Authorization (RMA) Requirement
Suppliers must establish and enforce a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process.
Suppliers may refuse:
- Unauthorized returns
- Returns without proper documentation
- Returns outside the approved timeframe
9. Return Shipping & Freight
Suppliers must clearly specify responsibility for:
- Return shipping costs
- Freight re-crating
- Insurance requirements
- Carrier coordination
These return-logistics responsibilities rest with the supplier. This allocation applies between LiveAutoParts and its suppliers only and does not limit LiveAutoParts' obligations to its customers under the customer Terms & Conditions.
10. Inspection & Condition Verification
Suppliers may inspect returned parts before approving refunds.
Refunds may be denied if parts show:
- Signs of installation
- Damage after delivery
- Missing components
- Alteration or tampering
11. Refund Amounts & Deductions
Approved refunds may be reduced by:
- Restocking fees
- Inspection costs
- Shipping charges
- Handling or reconditioning costs
Suppliers must communicate deductions clearly to buyers.
12. Refund Timelines
Suppliers are responsible for communicating realistic refund timelines.
Delays caused by banks, processors, or carriers are not the responsibility of LiveAutoParts.
13. Chargebacks & Disputes
LiveAutoParts responds to customer chargebacks with the card network as merchant of record. Where a chargeback arises from the Supplier’s fulfilment, the Supplier is responsible for:
- Promptly providing LiveAutoParts with fulfilment, tracking, and condition evidence
- Absorbing chargeback amounts and fees allocated to their fulfilment
- Financial losses from disputes caused by their fulfilment
Excessive disputes may result in platform suspension or termination.
14. Legal & Regulatory Compliance
Suppliers must comply with all applicable consumer protection, refund, and trade laws in their jurisdiction.
LiveAutoParts does not provide legal advice to suppliers.
15. Indemnification
Suppliers agree to indemnify and hold harmless LiveAutoParts from any claims, disputes, penalties, losses, or legal actions arising from:
- Refund disputes
- Misrepresentation of parts
- Warranty claims
- Chargebacks
- Consumer complaints
16. Enforcement & Termination
LiveAutoParts reserves the right to:
- Suspend suppliers for repeated refund violations
- Terminate access for unresolved disputes
- Restrict lead distribution
17. Policy Updates
This Policy may be updated at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of revisions.
