About Used Genesis G70 Parts

Two facts do most of the work on a used G70. It shares its rear-wheel-drive platform and engine range with the Kia Stinger, so drivetrain searches should cover both names. And the US four-cylinder changed: EPA lists a 2.0L turbo through 2023 and a 2.5L turbo from 2024, while the six-speed manual existed only on 2019–2021 rear-drive 2.0T cars. Give us the year, the engine and the drive type.

Generations & fitment boundaries

The generation and platform decide whether a used part interchanges. Match yours before you request a quote.

  • 2019–2021 (first generation, pre-facelift (US)) — EPA lists a 2.0L turbo four or a 3.3L turbo V6, rear- or all-wheel drive, on an 8-speed automatic - plus a 6-speed manual offered only rear-drive and only with the 2.0T.
  • 2022–2023 (facelift (US)) — The facelift arrived as a 2022 US model and the manual was dropped. EPA lists the 2.0T and the 3.3T with the 8-speed automatic only.
  • 2024–present (facelift, 2.5T four) — EPA lists the 2024 US G70 with a 2.5L turbo four; the 2.0T is gone. Same body, different four-cylinder, so the year matters more than it looks.
Engines & transmissions — how to tell them apart

The Kia Stinger is the interchange story. The G70 shares its rear-wheel-drive platform and engine range with the Stinger, on a shorter wheelbase and with a conventional sedan body in place of the Stinger's liftback, and both cars are listed on Hyundai's M2 platform with the same 2.0L Theta II turbo, 2.5L Smartstream turbo, 3.3L Lambda II twin-turbo V6 and 8-speed A8LR1/A8TR1 automatic family. Drivetrain parts are genuinely worth cross-checking under Stinger. Bodywork is not: the Stinger is a five-door liftback on a 2,905 mm wheelbase against the G70 sedan's 2,835 mm, so panels, glass and rear structure do not cross. The Stinger also ended production in April 2023, so a 2024-or-newer G70 has no Stinger twin at all.

The six-speed manual is the narrowest fitment window on the car. EPA lists it only for 2019, 2020 and 2021, only in rear-drive, and only behind the 2.0L turbo; it is absent from the 2022 listing. If you need that gearbox or the clutch and pedal hardware around it, those three model years are the donor pool.

The four-cylinder swap is the other trap. EPA lists the US G70 with a 2.0L turbo four for model years 2019 through 2023 and a 2.5L turbo four for 2024, so "G70 four-cylinder" is not a specification on its own. The 3.3L turbocharged V6 runs alongside the four across the range. Order by displacement and model year together.

Known issues that drive used-part demand
  • Hyundai recalled 2019–2021 Genesis G70 vehicles because the Anti-Lock Brake System module could malfunction and short circuit (NHTSA 21V161000). ABS is safety-critical: a used module is not a fix for an open recall, and diagnosis and installation belong with a licensed professional. Check the campaign against your VIN before you buy anything in that circuit.
  • A second one matters if you are shopping fuel parts. Hyundai recalled 2019–2023 G70 vehicles, along with Veloster N, Elantra N and Kona N models, because the fuel pump may fail and cause a loss of drive power (NHTSA 24V528000). Sudden power loss at speed is the symptom; the remedy is a dealer repair under the campaign, not a salvage pump.
  • There is also a 2019-only compliance recall: the trunk latch may become damaged and prevent the trunk being opened from inside, so the car no longer meets the federal requirement (NHTSA 22V196000). If you are replacing a boot latch on a 2019 car, that is the first thing to check.

Safety- and emissions-related parts should be diagnosed and installed by a licensed mechanic.

Most-requested used G70 parts

Send the VIN, the model year, the engine (2.0 turbo, 2.5 turbo or 3.3 turbo V6), the transmission (8-speed automatic or the 6-speed manual) and whether the car is rear- or all-wheel drive. On drivetrain items we will look under Kia Stinger as well, since the two share platform and engines. Common G70 requests are engines, 8-speed automatics, turbochargers, ABS and other modules, lamp assemblies, suspension parts and collision panels. We quote instead of publishing stock or prices, and you will see written terms and warranty before committing.

Used Genesis G70 Parts — FAQ

Can I use Kia Stinger parts on a Genesis G70?

Some, mechanically. The two share a rear-wheel-drive platform and engine range - the 2.0L and 2.5L turbo fours, the 3.3L twin-turbo V6 and the same 8-speed automatic family - so drivetrain parts are worth cross-checking. Bodies do not cross: the Stinger is a five-door liftback on a 2,905 mm wheelbase, the G70 a sedan on 2,835 mm. And Stinger production ended in April 2023, so a 2024-or-later G70 has no Stinger equivalent.

Which Genesis G70 years came with a manual transmission?

EPA lists a 6-speed manual for the 2019, 2020 and 2021 US G70, rear-drive only and only with the 2.0L turbo four. It does not appear on the 2022 listing, so the manual donor pool is those three model years.

Will a 2023 G70 four-cylinder engine fit a 2024?

No. EPA lists the US G70 four-cylinder as a 2.0L turbo through the 2023 model year and a 2.5L turbo from 2024. The body carried on, the engine did not, so match the model year as well as the displacement.

Will a 2022 G70 front bumper or headlights fit my 2019?

No. The facelift arrived in North America as a 2022 model and replaced both ends of the car: Quad Lamp headlights and tail lamps, the crest grille, new air intakes and a new lower grille, plus air extractors behind the front wheels. Body and lighting parts split at that line even though the engines carried over, so order them by exact model year.

Can a Kia Stinger donate manual gearbox parts for my G70?

No. EPA lists every US Kia Stinger year, 2018 through 2023, with the 8-speed automatic only, so there is no US manual Stinger to take a gearbox, clutch or pedal box from. EPA lists the G70's 6-speed manual for 2019, 2020 and 2021 alone, rear-drive, behind the 2.0 turbo. Send the VIN and note the transmission with your quote request.

Was there a 2018 Genesis G70 in the US?

There was no 2018 US G70. EPA's 2018 Genesis listing shows only the G80 and G90; the G70 first appears for 2019, with the 2.0 turbo or the 3.3 turbo V6, rear- or all-wheel drive. A listing that says 2018 is either a non-US car or a mistyped year, so work from the VIN and the model year on the certification label.

Is there a recall on the G70 3.3T turbocharger oil pipe?

Yes, on 2019-2022 cars. Hyundai recalled 2019-2022 G70 vehicles, with 2018-2020 G80 and 2017-2022 G90 models carrying the 3.3L turbocharged V6, because the left turbocharger oil feed pipe may deteriorate and leak oil (NHTSA 24V191000). Check your VIN against it before buying used turbo plumbing, and say which side you need: the campaign names the left pipe.
